Our Story

Graham the Guide was founded on the shared belief that mindset is not just for athletes, but for everyone. The same principles that help world champions perform under pressure can transform how organizations think, lead, and grow.

For more than two decades, Graham Betchart has been a leading mental skills coach, trusted by the NBA, NFL, MLB, Olympians, the US Navy, and Fortune 500 companies. His life’s work centers on helping people perform under pressure and thrive in the moments that matter most. He also serves as the Co-Founder and Chief Mindset Officer of Dream Team, a performance network that creates life-changing opportunities by connecting differentiated people with characteristics and values from sports to revenue teams who aspire for greatness.

Joe Costanzo, founding partner of Graham the Guide, learned the power of mindset early on as a student-athlete at Cleveland State University. Years later, while working in sales at Topgolf, Joe was searching for talent to speak at a company summit and immediately thought of Graham, whom he had connected with a few years earlier after reading one of his CNBC features. Their shared belief that mindset is the foundation of sustainable performance, both on the field and in the boardroom, sparked a collaboration that continues to grow.

After Graham’s keynote at a Topgolf summit deeply resonated with leaders and teams alike, the two realized there was an opportunity to integrate mindset principles more intentionally inside organizations. That realization became Graham the Guide, a modern approach to leadership development where Graham serves as a fractional Chief Mindset Officer, helping organizations align, communicate, and perform with purpose.

Together, Chief Mindset Officer Graham Betchart and Managing Partner Joe Costanzo help organizations operate with clarity, confidence, and trust when it matters most.

As Graham says, “Peak performance isn’t luck. It’s trained.”
